Drug take-back day

A medication collection event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 28, in Ozaukee County. Medicines will be collected at the Ozaukee County Transit Center, 741 W. Oakland Ave. in Port Washington and at Concordia University Wisconsin in Mequon. Residents are encouraged to bring unused, expired or unwanted medications to the event for proper disposal. In addition to prescription and over-the-counter medications, other items that will be accepted include herbal medicines and vitamins, veterinary medications and medicated liquids, ointments and creams. Illegal drugs, biohazardous materials, personal care products and household hazardous waste will not be accepted.
