County survey seeks input on parks, programs for plan

Some Ozaukee County residents will soon receive in their mailbox a survey from the county’s Planning and Parks Department  to collect their feedback on its parks and programs.

Surveys will arrive in randomly selected residents’ mailboxes from the county and the University of Wisconsin-River Falls,  requesting feedback on the county’s parks and open spaces.

Ozaukee County is currently in the process of updating its Park and Open Space Plan, and wants that plan to reflect the preferences of its residents.

“This survey is one way for us to hear from a broad cross-section of County residents,” Planning and Parks Director Andrew Struck said.

The survey is expected to arrive in the mail this week and will take about 10 minutes to complete.

“We hope you will complete the survey, and return it in the provided postage-paid envelope,” Struck said. There will also be an online version of the survey available.

Some residents may also receive the survey questionnaire by email.

Public meetings on the Park and Open Space Plan update are planned but have not been scheduled.

For more information about the survey, contact the Ozaukee County Planning and Parks Department at 238-8257.
