Concordia to host 10-week MBA seminar series

Concordia University Wisconsin will start its fifth MBA Industry Leaders seminar series Thursday, Sept. 5.

The seminar series will feature six business experts who will share their insights during one-hour lectures over 10 weeks in the university’s Pharmacy School.

Each free talk begins at 6 p.m. and will be followed by a 45-minute networking event with light refreshments. A brief question-and-answer session will follow all lectures.

The seminar series is sponsored by the university’s Batterman School of Business MBA Program.

On Thursday, Sept. 5, Omar Shaikh, president of SURG Restaurant Group, will present “Strategic Entrepreneurship: Recipe for Success.”

On Tuesday, Sept. 17, Mark Meisner, director of marketing and advertising for Kwik Trip Inc., will discuss “The Kwik Trip Mission.”

On Monday, Sept. 23. Kim Marotta, global senior director of corporate responsibility and alcohol policy for Molson Coors, will present “Leaving A Positive Beer Print.”

On Wednesday, Oct. 9, Austin Ramirez, president and CEO of Husco International, will hold a talk called “An Unexpected Journey: Waukesha to The White House and Back Again.”

On Tuesday, Nov. 5, JoAnne Anton, director of giving for Herb Kohl Philanthropies will present “Trusting Transition.”

The series concludes on Wednesday, Nov. 13, with  Michael Barber, president and CEO of GE Healthcare, presenting “Global Health – A Noninvasive Peek Inside Wisconsin.”
