Celebrating those who help others

Interfaith Caregivers of Ozaukee County held its annual fundraiser at the Cedarburg Cultural Center Feb. 29, to celebrate the many volunteers who provide services that allow county seniors to remain in their homes. Clockwise from top left: Interfaith Senior Corps Project Director Denise Loveridge helped distribute raffle tickets. Volunteers (from left) Linda Short, Ellen Irion and Jill Becker checked out the many items up for auction. Heavy hors d’oeuvres were enjoyed by the crowd. Interfaith handled 3,146 requests for service, driving clients 62,109 miles in 2019. Demand for its services continues to increase. In the past two years, the agency has seen a 33% increase in calls for service. It is seeking volunteers to answer those calls.         Photos by Sam Arendt
