Ozaukee Press staff

Supporters of the Port Washington-Saukville Character Counts initiative gathered at the Niederkorn Library in Port Washington Monday to celebrate the 13th anniversary of the program and present Outstanding Character Counts Awards to (from left) longtime Port Washington Police Department Capt. Mike Keller and Saukville Fire Chief Gilly Schultz, both of whom recently retired, and to Cultivate Mental Health, a pilot program run by the Washington Ozaukee Public Health Department that encourages participating communities С Port Washington, Saukville and West Bend С to invest in the prevention of mental illness. Accepting the award for Cultivate was its coordinator Bailey Murph (right). The celebration also included a musical performance by Lincoln Elementary School fourth-graders (wearing red shirts).                                Photo by Bill Schanen IV
