The Mid-Moraine Municipal Court Administrative Committee has begun the process of appointing a judge to replace Steve Cain and is accepting applications.

Cain, who was elected municipal court judge in 2009 and re-elected last week, also won the April 2 race for Branch II Ozaukee County Circuit Court judge. He will step down from his municipal court position.

The appointee will take office on Aug. 1. The position will be filled by election in April 2020.

The salary for the part-time position is $80,000 a year.

To apply, send a cover letter and resume to Kathy Buth at buth@mmmcourt.com by 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 24.
