Belgium Fire Department open house is Saturday

The Belgium Fire Department will hold an open house from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6.

Among the attractions are the Ozaukee Sheriff’s Office’s K-9 unit, the Flight for Life helicopter landing at 11 a.m., TruSense Fire Safety fire prevention tips, free fire truck rides, an extrication demonstration, blood pressure screening, food, refreshments and a raffle for a 32-inch TV.

Information will be available about the fire department’s new reserve unit, which allows people to join the department and help at fire and rescue scenes without going through all the firefighter training.

The fire house is at 195 Commerce St.
