THE THREE TO FIVE inches of snow that was forecast for parts of Ozaukee County Tuesday night looked a lot more like a foot or more when residents woke up Wednesday. For 11-year-old Jason Goebel (top left), that meant a lot of shoveling to clear the snow piled at the end of his family‚Äôs Port Washington driveway. The good news was that Jason had plenty of time on his hands since schools were closed for the day. The heavy, wet snow was backbreaking to shovel, but it created beautiful winter scenes, like the one of the Port Washington Light Station framed by snow-draped branches (top right). In advance of the storm and before most residents were awake on Monday, city Street Department crews cleared snow from along Franklin Street using one very large snow-thrower and a fleet of dump trucks.                            Photos by Bill Schanen IV
