The four friends all earned their Eagle Scout award.

Leaders said this is the first time the troop has had four Scouts earn the Eagle recognition in a single year.

The new Eagles are:

Brad Bichler, who built three all-weather benches and place them along the trail in Kurtz’s Woods on the southwest side of the Village of Saukville.

Mitchell Jaeger, who designed and built a prayer gazebo at the Marian Shrine on the grounds of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

The hexagonal gazebo offers protection from the elements and a kneeler for prayer.

Nick Nemachek, who built six coat racks and shelving at the YMCA’s Camp Matawa in Kewaskum.

Ben Nemachek, who collected 1,500 children’s books for the Reach Out & Read Program.

Troop 868 is sponsored by the Saukville Lions Club.
