Columbia St. Mary’s is seeking approval to build a 14,459-square-foot medical clinic in the Village of Grafton.
Village Administrator Darrell Hofland said the company, which operates Columbia St. Mary’s Ozaukee Hospital in Mequon, has submitted preliminary plans for the facility, which it has proposed building on Washington Street west of Cheyenne Avenue.
The plans, which are scheduled to be considered by the Architectural Review Board on May 3, call for a one-story facility on a 2.45-acre parcel west of the building housing a Port Washington State Bank office and the Flipside Restaurant.
The center, which would be the first Columbia St. Mary’s medical facility in the village, would offer emergency and general care. Plans call for the clinic to have 25 employees working in two shifts.
No rezoning is required for the project because it would be a permitted at the site, which is zoned for business park use, Hofland said.
The Plan Commission is scheduled to consider the project at its May meeting.
Plans call for construction to begin June 1 and be completed by Dec. 1, 2010, Hofland said. |
