Port Washington-based Franklin Energy Services has been named one of the healthiest places to work in southeastern Wisconsin.

The company finished second in the Business Journal’s Healthiest Employers Awards program for companies of fewer than 1,000 employees.PORT WASHINGTON RESIDENT Warren Graham (left) was a member of the Franklin Energy’s Focus on Energy team during this summer’s Elkhart Lake triathlon. The company has sponsored a team in the event since 2008, affirming its emphasis on wellness and healthy living.

Franklin Energy was cited for the work of its Wellness Committee, headed by Vice President of Human Resources Tina Semotan. The committee focuses on educating
employees about healthy lifestyles.

It has organized a Bike to Work Day and regularly promotes company-wide wellness competitions.

The company specializes in the implementation of energy-efficient programs on behalf of utilities, states and municipalities. It has 300 employees and offices in nine states.
